Every year, I tell myself that I should take a picture of my class on the first day of school like most normal teachers. This class is going to be so much fun. Plus, look at them: without any prompting, it looks like they formed a rhombus.
Brooke's first words off the bus yesterday were "Mr. Carter's class is awesome!" I think it was a very successful first day! Looking forward to a great year for those kids.

Excellent. That's what I love to hear. My class is awesome already and we will only become more so as the year goes on.
