Mayday

Happy Mayday, everybody!

Well, today was pretty darn crazy, but not in a bad way. It was just one of those days where we had so many disparate things going on that we just did our best to keep up all day long.

We had a celebration for all the kids' hard work during the week on ISTEP, we did some work in our Social Studies white pages, and of course we did our ISTEP testing itself.

I told the kids about the tradition of doing the Maypole dance (they were less than enthused) and told them that Mayday always makes me think of the robot from Lost in Space yelling "Mayday! Mayday!" when they were in danger. They were somehow even less excited about that.

Anyway, all was not lost. We found homes for all of our chameleons today, and said good-bye to them. We had a brief case of first grade buddies, and I'm sure there was a lot more.

Anyway, tomorrow is the Color Run at 11:00am! Hope to see everybody there!
