September 17, CHS girls varsity soccer, will be playing Lawrence North at 7:00 p.m. This game will be dedicated to Mr. DeWayne Akin, Woodbrook’s Principal for 29 years. Mr. Akin was also the Assistant Coach of the soccer team. The senior girls came up with this awesome opportunity to honor him. The soccer team will be raising funds to contribute to our DeWayne Akin scholarship fund. They plan to present us with a check of what they will be contributing to the fund at this game.
This is a great opportunity for a family outing at CHS to show our support to the soccer team and our scholarship fund. A graduating senior who attended Woodbrook will be the recipient of this scholarship in May.
We hope many of you can join us on the evening of September 17th at Murray Field, Carmel High School. The soccer field is located on the North end. It sits between the back of the school and the football stadium.
