The kids have been working on some very creative persuasive essays today. They're writing you letters for something that they want to happen or receive, and hoping that you comply. I told them that they need to make it sound like a great idea for
you. It's pretty fun reading them so far. We will type them up during computer time on Monday, so hopefully you will receive them that day in properly-written form.

I miss having you in 5-1, too, Viva. I've been really lucky to have some outstanding classes over the years, and yours is still incredibly important to me.
I'll have to grill Mr. Will about the "real" series record. I can't imagine him telling me anything that's not true, though. :)

Yeah, I've been on crutches for too long now. I was off them for a few days, but then I've been paying the price. Now I'm carrying a cane around like an elderly man. But I have to admit that it's a lot easier than crutches, though. Much lighter and less cumbersome too, plus I can still have a hand free to carry things. And yes, Mrs. Shearman is now in first grade; can you believe that? We're definitely a different group this year than last year, but my class is still my class.
We don't do DOLs, that may be one of the biggest differences. They'll be back one day, but not this year. And I'm teaching sixth grade math again this year.
Hope all is well with you, Sophia! Maybe I'll see you at church this morning.
