Dissertations and Developing Stories

Well, another day has come and gone. It's really as if we never left, you know?

Tomorrow we will head to the high school to visit the planetarium. It's not a super-long program, and I've given the students my expectations for behavior during the presentation.

We will also be going over the students' ideas for their big research projects. This project began yesterday and will continue through to the day before Spring Break. It's a biggie. But we will be chunking it, with many smaller due-dates in between. I like this project because of how the kids end up with a final product that they have completed on their on in the end.

Much of the work on this project will be done in class. You can help your child by taking them to the library to get some research materials when they've made their final selection for their topic, and after I have approved it.

We will be getting a new student in February. While the kids riddled me with questions about this topic, all we know about this new student is that he is a he

Wednesday: French Bread Pizza
Thursday: Pasta
Friday: French Toast
