Both Wider And More Porous

Today we took a look at the density of different materials using braided yarn ropes vs. twisted paper towels. The kids found out, scientifically, of course, that the paper towel is far less dense than the yarn.

We also learned about the events leading up to the American Revolution, continued on our outlines (due tomorrow, but most people are finished or almost there), and made flashcards for their spelling words.

In math, we learned all about calculating rates. I also found out that the class knew very little about the mongoose, which I thought was common knowledge. They learned a thing or two today!
