Well, let's get this show on the road.
Hard to believe it's already the second semester, but I am happy to say that we are right on schedule. Seriously, right now we are right where we should be for fifth grade. Yes, we did a little more Science last semester than we will this semester--up until we get to the animals unit, anyway--but that only means that we will be hitting Social Studies really hard up until Spring Break.
We will have a spelling list this week (see the sidebar). Our next unit in reading is all about water and its scarcity and its scientific principles. For my Math class, we will be hitting our second volume of our Math Journals right on time.
Buckle in, guys! We are getting ready to enter the meat of the dreaded winter months. I kind of like them, but I know that not everybody does. Hopefully we can get a great deal of work completed in the process.
