About a year ago, John Wooden died. It's no secret to any of my students that he is one of my personal favorite people of all time, as a teacher, a coach, and as a Boilermaker, in that very order. Reading his books has profoundly affected how I teach and how I coach. I wish nothing more than to be one tenth as good a teacher and human being as he was. I highly suggest watching this speech.

M: John Wooden was a great guy who went to Purdue, where he played basketball, and went on to become one of the NCAA's greatest coaches. He became really famous coaching for UCLA. He died at the age of almost 100 last year. Great guy. I have quotes by him up in my classroom.

Griffin i dont have a camra on my computer so ergo i cant do skype but i mightbe able to by a camera for my computer.
He lived a full,memorable life.
I swear I could listen to that speech a hundred times and it would never get boring.
He Must have a lot of interesting things to say. I'm going to go to the library to check out some books about John Wooden.
