Today we had our last Social Studies lesson of the year (out of the book, that is...). We also continued working on a few projects from the past few days, including our Mother's Day presents, which are almost done; the first of our three end of the year Math tests (I have no choice, honest!), and we celebrated the kids' hard work with brownies and Root Beer today (we called it "Brown Day"). Today's Word of the Day is "tawny". We're almost finished reading The Westing Game, and yes, I realize we are long overdue in finishing this book up, but it's a crazy time of year.
We made a few basic plans for Asian Culture Day, except we're still not sure when it's going to be. We will know by tomorrow, because there aren't all that many days left in the school year!
Oh, and the title? Well, let's just say the kids went out for P.E. this morning on the soccer field. I was pretty startled when they came back inside and told me about it, but we made it through just fine.
