ITEM #1: Do not forget that Monday is Pajama Day! Get into the spirit of homecoming this week!
ITEM #2: Yesterday's news here, but I still want to congratulate all of the Woodbrook team of Pups Runners who had their first meet in the heat of last Thursday night. Racers included Maddi, Jake, Regan, Izzy, Lydia, Ella, P.J., and Turner! (If I left anyone off this list--please let me know! I'm going from memory...) Don't know how you did it without passing out.
ITEM #3: Congratulations to Dominick from the 5-1 class of 2013-2014. His science teacher Tweeted out this picture after Dominick's foil boat held the most pennies of anyone in the class in what I would assume was a lesson on buoyancy. That's a future Boilermaker's German engineering mind right there! Seriously, it's fun to see former students going forth and doing awesome things. Great job, Dominick!
ITEM #4: We will have a Science quiz ourselves this week on the states of matter and a couple of the ideas we've discussed so far in this unit. (This is actually more of an exit slip...nothing you can really study for--you just have to listen in class!) Then, we are moving on to Social Studies for awhile.
ITEM #5: We will have a Math quiz on Friday based around the first few lessons of chapter 2. We will start chapter 2 tomorrow. It's all about big numbers, little numbers, and all computation in between.
