Every so often, I have to share something that has nothing to do with our curriculum, as you know too well if you're a regular reader of this blog.
Today during a daily segment aptly called "Good News", a guy named Shoji raised his hand. He a glimmer in his eye that made me a little nervous to call on him, to be honest, but I went ahead and did it.
With complete, un-ironic sincerity, he said, "I'm happy that we got a new kid in our class and he's a really nice guy."
Of course everyone agreed, but it made me have some Good News to share on the blog and with the other teachers, my family and friends, and now here on the blog. I couldn't help it.
I really love this class.
